    Stock FW4.00 = 521 MB 3 minute clip
    MOD 24 Mb/s = 551 MB 3 minute clip
    MOD 25 Mb/s = 575 MB 3 minute clip
    MOD 26 Mb/s = 598 MB 3 minute clip = 399 MB 2 min clip
    recommend setting Loop Recording = 2 minutes

    I've tried now the 6Ro on my A119 (v1) - works fine - and gives me good detail - esp. when bright/sunny ...
    BUT - from time to time - the cam short-Beeps - which I currently interpret as an SD-card issue (too slow).
    The SD-Card is a (white) SanDisk 64g high-endurance card... maybe a newer 128g high-endurance will work better - in case it's not the SoC which is too slow - I'm planning to find that out - step-by-step.
    So my next try is the '5rk' - with a bit reduced bitrate ...
    Overall - a really cool 'playground' this page :-)
    But yeah - quite cool

      Suggest buying fast U3 write speed microSD memory cards when loading high bitrate MODs especially for 1440p resolution of higher. Most "endurance" cards are only slow U1 speed but work fine for 1080p cameras.       Bitrate Menu option remains hidden in A119V2 and A119Pro until Viofo enables that firmware feature. My MODs tap the hidden functionality but unable to display the Menu option. View my A119V3 Menu Settings video for preview https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A1kJMlyRrlo

    WELL ... if it was that simple :-)
    It's really helpfull, that there ARE lower-bitrate options!

    here - my personal nightmare on this:

    a.) So I have a well-working Sandisk-64GB hi-endurance card.
    This card works in the A119 - and can be read on practically EVERY of devices (laptop-builtin-card-reader, tablet, etc.)
    All fine - except that I have to use a 25Mbit/sec firmware - because 26.x - occasionally beeps - while the 25 Mbit/sec FW works flawless.
    (so yes - it's reproducible - higher bitrates cause problems due to the card - it's not the camera's fault at all)

    b.) bought a new Sandisk 128GB SDXC hi-endurance. - it's a U3!
    The card works in the dashcam - and I can use it on my BeagleBone fine (A Beaglebone is something like a Raspberry-PI) - also - my TWO relatively old Android-Tablets can use/read the card fine.
    BUT - none of my two Laptops can read it (Linux) - while a windows-laptop - just HANGs if you insert that card.

    With a bit of google-searching - it seems like this newer card - advertises 1.8V-support - but if your SD-card reader DOES support that voltage 'switchover' - the card stops working.

    So - everything 'old' - which has no support for 1.8V - can use the card fine - while (newer) readers, which DO have support for 1.8V - will fail :-(

    the simple solution here is - to continue to use the slower 64GB card - as that's universally readable - with MY equipment, while I keep the new 128GB card - for my Beaglebone as it's root-FS ...

    ...not that easy/simple as initially thought :-)

      Thanks for sharing report on using Sandisk 64 + 128GB microSD memory cards. The cards do work in Dashcams but as you discovered some Card Readers cause issues. Older Readers are USB2.0 the newer USB3.0/1 which can cause detection issues. Only a few of my Card Readers are 100% universal. The better ones come packaged with the memory card. Cheap Readers actually over heat causing "not responding" then disconnection. Always "safely remove" USB device before disconnecting from computer to prevent data and USB-driver corruption. If you find a small reliable 100% universal 1-256GB microSD/SDcard-USB3/microUSB/USB-C Reader let me know.

    Yes all these MODs work on any version 4 official firmware. Can always change back to original version anytime. Suggest recording test footage with official firmware then load MOD and compare footage.

    MOD-6Rp, MOD-6Ro, MOD-6Rm only 1440p30 bit rate is increased. Can you increase 1080p60 bit rate or is it impossible?

      All A119 V2 low resolution 1080p bitrates are locked at 20Mbs by Viofo, only 1440p can be modified from 23 to 26Mbs.

      A119V3 MODs are on hold until Viofo solves the current baseline firmware Parking Mode issues with G-sensor.

    Is there a way of increasing the colour/saturation more on the firmware? I find the colours are quite washed out on my dashcam. I previously saw a way of modifying a VIOFO firmware with your own settings and compiling it but the video is gone, I was hoping I could make one more tailored to me.

      The A119 V1 V2 always suffered from poor color saturation. Viofo never fixed the issue and has now abandoned firmware support for it. I may create more color MODs for each model to match the A139 perfect color palette.

    Many dashcam owners notice overly bright sky or dark road views. Adjusting the Lens up or down slightly will achieve the light level balance you prefer.
